How to Upgrade Select PS3 Games to Their PS4 Versions
As announced during PlayStation's Gamescom press conference, there will be a simple way to upgrade to the PS4 digital version of four select games, for a low discounted price, when you buy the PS3 version of those games. Here are the full specifics so you're set for November 15th — click here for full step-by-step instructions.

Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Watch_Dogs, and Battlefield 4 are the supported titles for this program. When you buy the Blu-ray Disc or digital version of these select PS3 games, for a limited time, you will receive an entitlement to download a PS4 digital copy of the same game from PlayStation Store when it becomes available, at the discounted price of $9.99.

Gamers who purchase a PS3 Blu-ray Disc of these four games will find a code packed into the PS3 version that they can redeem on PlayStation Store. To play the PS4 version of the game when it becomes available, you'll need to insert the original PS3 disc in your PS4 to activate and play the PS4 version, so hang onto that PS3 disc!

Gamers who purchase the digital version of any of these four games will not need to redeem a code to receive their PS4 versions. When your PS4 arrives, just look for the PS4 version of the game on PlayStation Store – it will appear on PlayStation Store on your PS4 for the discounted price of $9.99. Just purchase it and start playing!

For those of you who purchase the PS3 disc version of the games, you do not need a PS4 system to redeem your code, so feel free to redeem it as soon as you pick up your PS3 copy — you can download your digital copy later when your PS4 arrives.

But don't wait: This program lasts for a limited time. You'll need to redeem your code and make the purchase before January 31st, 2014 (for Assassin's Creed IV and Watch_Dogs), March 28th (for Battlefield 4), or March 31st (for Call of Duty: Ghosts) in order to participate.

Das hört sich doch interessant und preislich fair an wie ich finde. Mit dieser Aktion wird man bestimmt einige PS3´ler motivieren, sich recht früh eine PS4 zu beschaffen.

Klingt natürlich super, aber frei übersetzt heißt das, du darfst für ein Spiel doppelt bezahlen, musst das zweite Mal nur nicht mehr viel zahlen. Am Ende machen die damit wahrscheinlich mehr Gewinn als würden die das nicht anbieten, weil so viel mehr Leute beide Versionen kaufen.

    While being always online is not necessary, a network connection is important to fully enjoy the features of the PS4.
    The PS4 will initially act as a stand-alone web server for the PlayStation App. In the future there's the possibility of this to be expanded through the cloud, with the PS4 and PlayStation App interacting through the cloud, allowing cooperative play between multiple players.
    The secondary chip for ultra-low power operation will mostly activate at night from 1 to 4 AM and download any required update automatically. It will also activate when software is purchased through external means like the PlayStation App.
    Power consumption will vary greatly depending on the performance of the game played.
    The noise level of the console during operation is generally much lower than it was on the PS3.
    The PS4′s cooling fan has a low noise level and stepless speed control (meaning that it will increase its speed to match heat smoothly and not in sudden steps like the one on the PS3).
    Since the Blu-Ray player is 6x instead of 2x (like the one on the PS3 was), the spinning noise is actually louder. Ito-san feels it's not annoyingly louder and it will be countered by caching data on the hard disk drive. It'll be mostly audible during the initial spin-up.
    The Audio/Video performance (for movies and music) of the PS4 will target PS3 levels at launch, but will be improved through updates, for instance with the addition of 4K, as Sony is also an Audio/Video company.

Fein, das heisst für mich, als erstes mal die ganze App und online Scheisse weg wenn ich eine PS4 hab

Juhu, das habe ich mir schon bei der PS3 immer gewünscht, dass man den ganzen Rotz rauslöschen kann, einfach nur noch PS3. Aber da ich mir die PS4 erst mal eh nicht kaufen werde, habe ich nicht viel davon.

wieso nicht ? 399 ist doch echt ein Stabiler Preis ! günstigster Release Preis wenn ich mich recht entsinne ( und mann berück sichtigt das 600 DM - PS1 damals irgendwie mehr wert waren ) . Aber ich denke das Thema wurde hier schon bearbeitet . wollte nur mal mein Senf dazu geben ^^ .

Mir geht Sony einfach ein wenig auf den Sack mit ihrer Bevormundung, die drohende Gebrauchtspielesperre, der immer weiter fortschreitende Download"zwang", ...
Außerdem juckt mich fast nichts an Spielen. Die Spiele, die ich für die PS3 hab, kann ich sogar noch unter 3.55 spielen. Ich hab keine aktuellen Spiele. Da kaufe ich mir für die 400 € lieber Spiele für die Wii U, da habe ich mehr von. Abgesehen davon hab ich gerade nicht das nötige Kleingeld, um mir eine Konsole zu kaufen, die ich nicht brauche.

Das mit dem Download-Additional Zeug is echt schlimm geworden. Du kannst inzwischen kein Game mehr kaufen wo es das nicht gibt. Hab mir letztens red Dead Redemption gekauft für 8 Euro und was seh ich dann? Da gibts irgendwie schon 3 DLCs und ein Addon...Natürlich alles zum runterladen und dann noch extra auf Blue Ray Disc gemacht zum kaufen. Warum können die nicht einfach ein fertiges Spiel verkaufen? Warum müssen wir uns jetzt wie PC Spieler Addons und DLCs besorgen um das volle Potential zu schöpfen? Darum werd ich die neue Konsolengeneration auch nicht mehr mit machen. Ich finde es jetzt schon sehr hart an der Grenze darum hält sich meine PS3 Sammlung sehr in Grenzen.

Beyond Two Souls ist der hammer, ihr könnt ab heute die Demo herunterladen. Probiert es mal aus, es hat mich sehr positiv überrascht. Ich werde es mir zu release kaufen.

Lamech , das sind Add ons ! finde ich gut das es die möglichkeit gibt , wenn dir ein Spiel gut gefallen hat , das du eine eventuelle gute fortsetzung auf selber Engine bekommen kannst . Sieh zum beispiel mal Dead Island - Riptide ( ein eigener Teil auf Disc zu kaufen ) ist so schlecht geworden , 2 schritte zurück ! - da hätte mann sich lieber ein gutes Add on für das sehr gute erste Dead Island gewünscht .

Sollte das der Fall sein werde ich auf jedenfall aufhören mit "modernen" Spielen.

Hab das Video jetzt nicht gesehen (keine Zeit), aber das ist ja nicht neu. Sony wollte es mit der PSP-Go! schon durchboxen, bei der PSV läuft es teilweise schon so und dass die bei der PS4 möglichst die Downloads vertreiben wollen ist auch kein Geheimnis. Die wollen alle auf Downloads, weil die Hersteller da die meiste Macht gegenüber dem Kunden haben, die automatisch ein Monopol haben undam meisten dran verdienen. Der blöde Kunde will es nur einfach nicht so annehmen. Die versuchen uns daher immer weiter zu den Downloads zu treiben, siehe schon die unvollständigen Spiele, die mit Add-ons und DLCs erst vollständig werden oder den Online-Pass bzw. die generelle Gebrauchtspielesperre.

Wenn das kommt, bin ich genau so weg und zwar nicht nur aus Protest, sondern weil ich es schlicht nicht brauche. Und wenn es 10 Jahre lang nur Downloads gibt, brauche ich es trotzdem nicht. Es gibt genug alte Spiele, die ich noch spielen muss und zur Not greife ich ab und zu auf kostenlose Spiele zurück, die frei von DRM sind. Dann habe ich zwar auch Downloads, aber für die zahle ich nichts. Da Downloads für mich keinen Wert (da keinen Gegenwert) haben, ist das dann auch okay. Die "großen" Spiele nutze ich dann nur, wenn es durch Hacks möglich ist die auch ohne den Segen der Hersteller zu spielen.

Auf youtube ging mir die ganze Zeit einer auf den Sack zu dem Thema , weil ich eben die selbe Meinung vertrete wie du, und er wohl für die Digitalisierung ist
